Dr. Chin is an internationally known genomic scientist, and a member of the National Academy of Medicine.  As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Chin contributed to advances in cancer biology and genomics throughout her career at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard Medical School, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and more recently as founding chair of the Department of Genomic Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center.  In 2015, Dr. Chin launched the Institute for Health Transformation at the UT System, to transform healthcare delivery with technology, data and analytics, starting with chronic disease management in the underserved population.
